How to Go

Bukit Tinggi

Directions to Bukit Tinggi Resort
Bukit Tinggi Resort is located about 35km away from Kuala Lumpur, with the fastest connecting route through the Karak Highway, which can be accessed from end of the MRR2 Expressway at Gombak. Visitors coming from the East Coast will approach Karak Highway from the opposite direction, reaching the Berjaya Hills turn-off at km 10. For visitors without a car, a public bus service runs daily from Berjaya Times Square at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur thrice during the day. Once there, a 'free' shuttle service by open-air coach provides transfer services between Colmar Tropicale and Japanese Village, the only real major attractions at Berjaya Hills.

From Kuala Lumpur
From Kuala Lumpur, visitors can jump on the MRR2 Highway right to its end at Gombak, where the Karak Highway begins towards Bukit Tinggi and the East Coast. Follow the signboards to Genting Highlands, paying a tol of MYR5 before approaching the windy mountain road. While covering only about 35km to Bukit Tinggi Resort, the drive can take about an hour due to the steep and twisty route, with large trucks providing overtaking hazards along the way. After passing the Genting Sempah rest station, watch out for the exit to Berjaya Hills at left, about 8km later. From this point on after the guardhouse, it's a scenic journey on a slightly narrow road all the way up to Bukit Tinggi Resort, climbing steadily through the highlands with magnificent rainforest scenery.

Eventually, visitors will reach the ticket booth about 6km away, where a fee of MYR16 is charged per adult and MYR8 per child sitting in the vehicle (Guests staying at any Berjaya Hills accommodation will get this fee refunded for all their guests). The road then splits up at a T-junction; left towards Japanese Village, and right towards Colmar Tropicale Resort, where either place is suitable for lodging your car at a parking space provided. To get around instead of driving, visitors can also ride on the 'free' shuttle bus provided, which flits between both attractions at regular intervals throughout the day.
